Delighted.


Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Deluxe Historic Tower. Received 1 bedroom suite. Booked a second room for a colleague and he also got the upgrade (kudos to the IC).


How are the rooms?

Very nice but nondescript. Small bathtubs. Frankly I wish they made the Historic Tower more "historic" and not 100% modernized.


How is the exec. lounge?

No lounge. This is the biggest downside of this IC. I did receive a free coupon for a coffee at the Starbucks in the lobby, and a "welcome drink" coupon from Michael Jordan's Steakhouse. Thankfully, this could be used for any drink up to a price of $30 which meant I sipped a nice $29 Lagavullin 16 y.o. single malt. Which is an exceptionally high price BTW.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Yes. Chocolates.

How was the minibar?
Standard stuff. Bottle of Moet.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Good service; definitely more attentive than in the past.
UG applied to my second room as well.
Outstanding swimming pool. Even if you don't swim you must visit this classic pool.
And also check out floors 1 through 9 in the Historic Tower.

No Club.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
For $200-210 this hotel is a bargain.
