Booked best flexible rate (BOGO) and was upgraded to a superb Prestige Suite (there are 2 Prestige Suites at this hotel: the previous time, I got the suite on the East wing, and this time I had the one on the West wing of the building).
How are the rooms?
Around 90sqm. High ceilings
Large dining room with seating area. Very elegant design. Molteni sofas

Separate toilets.
Bedroom with large and very comfortable bed.
Superb panoramic view over the Vieux Port (old harbour) and the city.
Great bathroom with Boffi sink, large elegant bathtub, separate rainforest shower (I loved it)/toilets.
Very nice Clarins Eau Dynamisante amenities
Flatscreen television with large selection of French and international channels.
No iPhone dock

Good
- Superb upgrade.
- Perfect location.
- Very nice historical building
- Very friendly staff.
- Pleasant indoor pool and spa.
- Fast wifi.
- Superb weather (Marseille in November is really pleasant).
Bad
- Despite the "Do not disturb" lamp on, the housekeeper entered the room while asleep (with television on) at 8 pm for turn-down service. I was waken up by the noise heard in the bathroom. Not a very pleasant experience.
- The hotel was sold out, so breakfast room was very crowded
- Some bad smell in the bathroom (after heavy rain during the night).
