InterContinental Madrid

- What is your Priority Club status?
Platinum Royal Ambassador

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, as always

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest advance rate and was upgraded to a so called "Premium suite" with club access, but asked for club room on 7th floor, with a terrace (as the weather was very sunny), and got it.

- How are the rooms?
Around 45 sqm
Very classic design.
Flat screen television set, with large selection of international channels.
Nice marble bathroom with separate walk in shower. Agraria amenities
Very quiet despite facing the large avenue (I slept with the windows wide open with no problem).
Samll errace with chair and table.
Fast wifi

- How is the exec. lounge?
  • Very friendly staff
  • Breakfast has been enhanced
  • 2 free PC with Internet and printer
  • Evening canapés
  • Pretty busy this week-end

- What was good and what was bad?

GOOD
  • The staff is really nice at IC Madrid (from bellboy to concierge, club lounge)
  • Location is very convenient from airport (metro station 80 meters from the hotel) and shopping: the Salamenca district is one of the most elegant for luxury boutiques, concept stores (Isolée, Gallery Madrid, ...) and restaurants (bar Tomate, Fuku, Pan de Lujo, Iroco, etc).
  • Pleasant terrace, perfect during sunny weather

BAD
The selection of movies on demand is pretty good (some independent films), but the system works very badly (video stops and go very often)

- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes
