Is there anything that absolutely shouldn't be sent as a gift?

Is it o.k. to send a collection of items, value $50+? Just to make up an example, address book, stationary, fancy pen set?

I also love getting multiple gifts in one. Lots of fun to open. And the things that I list generally aren't $50 price anyways.

In terms of prohibited items - I would generally say only illegal items (and consider what may be legal in your jurisdiction might be illegal in a recipient jurisdiction, i.e. wine is legal in the US but illegal in some Middle Eastern countries. I've sent wine and liquids in the post before without issue.
