I got a Scott vest last month.

I too have experienced problems with the zippers - in my case, a few of the zippers get fabric caught in them when trying to zip/unzip, which can lead to rips in the garment or broken zippers. This is frustrating, but not a deal killer for me; otherwise I like the vest, and it has so many pockets that I've lost thing in them, not sure where I put them. But to me that's a feature.

I have read in multiple places that customer service at Scott is terrible, and that's unfortunate.

I also got a shirt from Scott last month, and with the shirt, there are two elastic loop thingies in the neck. When the shirt arrived, one of the loops was only sewn in on one side; the other side was loose, so there was a 1" elastic "thread" hanging from the neck. I pulled out the other end, which was easy to do, because the 1" section of the shirt where the collar attaches to the body was never sewn on correctly to begin with.

So that's been my experience.
