Really? I thought the 777-200ER didn't have the range to do that route. That's why Delta had to get the -LR version.

Because the plane breaks down twice a week and they have to rebook everyone on Qantas? That's gotta cut into the ol' profit margins.

Besides, the ancient IFE-less 747 in economy is absolutely awful and makes United Airlines a laughing stock on this side of the Pacific.
