This information is necessary to judge if the miles are saving you enough money to choose (for example) a less convenient itinerary. Award tickets are seldom "free", there are usually some taxes and fees to be paid.
3. How much can you spend on credit cards in a typical month?
4. Have you obtained copies of credit reports for you and your spouse? Do you know your credit scores?

1. Economy.
2. Was looking at the direct US Airways flight from PHL to MAD, now around $1268.
3. We put everything we spend on cash rewards AMEX card, and average around $4000 to $5000 per month.
4. Credit scores are excellent. Over 800 for both of us.
