That is so frustrating! I just was approved for my 2nd 50k Visa and asked again about having my card expedited. The rep told me that it is not possible to do so for the initial card on the account for security reasons. I asked if that was a new policy since i was able to receive my other card expedited and she said that it is. So to clarify i asked if I were to lose my first card if they would rush the replacement and they said they can do that.. So yeah, i agree with your disappointment! It should definitely be a standard service.
