Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Outstanding

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Traditional King. Got 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Suite with sofabed.

How are the rooms?

Excellent. Two gas fireplaces. A balcony right on the ocean/bay. A big huge tub with a window to the bedroom so you could see the ocean. Luxuriously appointed.

How is the exec. lounge?

None

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Some confectionary, as well as the fruit basket, mineral water.

How was the minibar?
Very nice, including some California wines. But nothing special.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Valet parking nice and generally responsive. Usually within minutes.
Very friendly
Good restaurant in the hotel (you're next to a whole bunch of tacky tourist and chain stuff including Bubba Gump's shrimp, so it's nice to have an upscale resto, even if a tad pricey).

-Bad
Valet parking a bit expensive compared to parking 1/2 block away. But convenient if you want to in/out or if it's crowded.
No Club lounge

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
For $200-240, well worth it. I wouldn't pay $300+ for it, which is the going rate on occasion.

Would you return?
Yes, and have.
