We will be visiting Buenos Aires with Brazilian friends in August and are seeking out some restaurant recommendations. We are particularly interested in help with a non-Brazilian style steak house, in the sense of non-rodizio and real Argentine-style cuts of beef with Argentine seasoning and cooking. Beef here in Brazil has been getting much tastier and tender in recent years, so it might be a real challenge to find better in Argentina. On past visits to BA we have been to La Cabrera, Rio Alba, Cabana Las Lilas, Don Julio, and La Brigada. They are all excellent, although there were so many Portuguese speaking tables near us that we felt we had not left Rio. In the end, we did not find these places to offer anything far superior to what we could get here in a top-end churrascaria. Any recommendations would be most welcome!
