I might have been able to have done better, but I decided to go with the miles anyway.
Similar situation for my dad's card. Offered me 5k miles or $100 credit. Took the $$.
For his Marriott card, offered 5k points after 15 purchases in 3 months. Declined.
Will probably just cancel it and add the CL into some other card. Hope to time this with his next AOR.
