Intercontinental london westminster
What is your Priority Club status?
Platinum Royal Ambassador
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay ?
Not really
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked classic room with club access (to celebrate my partner’s birthday)
Upgraded to an executive room on the 4th floor
How are the rooms?
Brand new, nicely decorated
Small size (30m²) without seating area (only desk)
Elegant bathroom with rainfall shower and Molton Brown amenities
Poorly soundproofed : street noise problem
How is the exec. lounge?
Small without view (patio light)
Lovely staff and superb service
Great breakfast and afternoon tea
What was your welcome gift?
Bottle of champagne (birthday gift)
Did you receive fruit in the room?
Yes
What was good and what was bad?
Good
•Location : central, next to underground station
•Brand new rooms, nicely decorated
•Lovely Club lounge staff and service
•Birthday gift : bottle of champagne
Bad
•Upgrade policy to a rather small executive room, no suite , even not a top floor or corner room
•Attitude Front Office Manager: disrespectful, “complimentary suite upgrade to Royal Ambassadors is depending on my decision, in your case it is a no and this is no negotiable”
•Sleep quality : poorly soundproofed windows in street facing rooms
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Not in a very near future. Experience fell far short of expectations.
I feel more comfortable returning to the superior Intercontinental Park Lane London who really cares about Royal Ambassadors
