Well I guess this is the beginning of our trip home... We had 5 segments left, 2 nights in between to get back to cold and snowy Norway.

The Radisson Blu, where we stayed for our last night in Fiji, or more the staff was helpful into booking us transportation to the airport.

Upon arrival we found a crowed departure hall. Fortunately the Premium line was clearly indicated. Unfortunately there was a bit of a queue.

After waiting for about 15 minutes, the check in agent was kind enough to change our seat assigment to the first row (better, as now one reclines on you) and checked us and our luggages to AKL. The agent was nice, polite and efficient so the whole process was over in no time.

Queue ahead of us

Plenty of unusual airlines on the board!

Through security we went and after a bit of shopping we headed for the local Koru Club. It was small but he did the trick. There are a quite a few sofas and a limited but decent amount of food and refreshments.

Lounge entrance

Seating area, well that was actually the only area

Small Business centre

Papers and zines

Spread and drinks

Fresh fruits

One of the nice things in the lounge was the apron view. There are airlines there one does not see often!

Solomons Airline A320-211 HA-BUS (Their one and only A320)

Air Pacific B737-86J(WL) DQ-FJM

Closing on boarding time, we headed for our gate, and after some more shopping we heard that *G and C passengers were invited to board. There were 3 agents doing the boarding and one more or less respected priority line so the process was quite efficient.

Boarding pass, note how NZ indicated the amount of Air Points one earns on that particular segment

Boarding

Our 767 for the day. Beautiful bird

The cabin was like the one we experienced before and therefore more or less expected. Obviously we were disappointed to have a 767 instead of a 777, but sadly that is all that was available as award seats. Still we could not really complain having found award inventory in C on NZ relatively easily. Besides this flight was only a couple of hours.

Seats 2A&2B (behind us)

Seat pocket and headphones

Once again we got off our screen to wath the Hobbit safely video. In the process I also checked the Airshow... Nostalgically.
