We don't actually serve packets of peanuts on board but equally we cannot guarantee anyone that the aircraft will be peanut free anymore than any other airline or restaurant, cinema or rock concert can.

We do however carry a supply of epipens which is more than most places on the ground do. So even in a situation where this passenger happened to inhale peanut dust from someone else, which seems like a pretty unlikely situation, we would be better placed to look after the passenger than most places on the ground. Coupled with that, most allergy sufferers carry their own epipens anyway.

We are specifically told by BA that we are not allowed to make PAs to request any passengers not to eat any specific food items.
