+1

In my case it said 10 hits, which was correct as of 9/29 if AR trivia counted.

I had a discrepancy between the Grand Slam Scorecard email and the hits I had tallied to date, as well. I called the Chairman's hotline and found out my two hotel transfers for 850 points were not credited in the recent sweep (even though they posted in plenty of time). I imagine they did an auto-search and specified to search for hotel transfers generating "greater than" 850 points versus "greater than or equal to". The nice lady at the help desk sent an email to someone who will supposedly fix the issue in time for the next sweep. She confirmed all of my other posts counted as hits (including the Biscoff, which like many others, hit at the end of the day yesterday). I hope this helps some people who were as perplexed as I was...

Not exactly a high hurdle to stumble over, is it?

An odd explanation, but one that makes sense in my case. Here's hoping that you got correct information.

I'm just guessing on the explanation. She read off to me the list of 12 hits US Air had calculated for me during yesterday's sweep. The only two missing were the SPG transfer and the Hilton transfer, both for 850 points. Since I initiated both transfers on 9/15 and they hit on 9/19 and 9/21, there's no reason they shouldn't have been included. In your earlier posts, you said it seemed like you were off by one hit, and it looks like you have an 850 point transfer as well. You said your only questionable hit was AR, but if it's like mine, it's the 850 point hotel transfer.

Me too, Is there something in the T&C Somewhere that says hotel transfers must be > 850? Hopefully this would be corrected for everyone.

I think it's just an oversight that should be fixed soon.

From the Grand Slam FAQ page:
How can I earn hits for hotel transfers?
You can transfer your hotel points into Dividend Miles at the hotels program website or visit usairways.com/convertmiles. If you transfer hotel points to Dividend Miles, you can earn one hit (with a maximum of one hit per hotel family). You have to earn a minimum of 850 Dividend Miles from each transfer in order to qualify as a hit. If you transfer 25,000 miles from Starwood you only get one hit, even if you transfer from Starwood again. However, if you transfer 5,000 miles from Starwood and 3,000 miles from Marriott you earn two hits

1 hit short of what I expected...

By my count, I should have 10 hits, and according to the email I received tonight I only got credit for 9. Based on the number of people who are confirming that Audience Rewards Trivia worked, my guess is the Thanks Again Facebook Hit didn't work. The only other idea I have is that the US World Card didn't count because the transactions creating the points weren't from purchases during the contest dates. Any other thought?

Looks like it might be the Hilton transfer, see up a few posts.

Did the woman at US actually tell you that it was the hotel hits that didn't count? If so, not only is your explanation a good one but it also indicates that there is a way to indicate which hits counted and which didn't.

Thanks,
Mike

She did. She said, "I'm going to read off to you the hits that US Airways has, and you tell me if you find the discrepancy." The first item she read was "2 hotel transfers". I told her that was it - I should have had four. She told me Marriott and Hyatt were the only two she had posted as hits. Once we figured out I was missing SPG and Hilton, I asked her to read off the other hits she had just to make sure. She did, and the rest were all correct. She was very helpful - I hope others have the same experience if they call.

Thanks so much for sharing!

I had exactly 8 hits, but only got bonus miles for 4. I assumed it was the AR Trivia or Thanks Again Facebook bonus or possibly the "Online Redemption" for magazine...but I had a HHonors transfer, so that definitely explains it.

Also missing one and it could be the Hilton conversion. Will check again after the next sweep.

My gf and I each have 17 and 21 hits as of 29th before GS bonuses were credited. Emails said 16 and 20. We each had Hilton transfers of 850 miles as well. So that corresponds with other fellow FTs discrepancies.

We also had AR trivia that would have counted if the hotel transfer 850 miles error is true.

What I would like to hear is if anyone whose US email tally is the same as their own manual tally, and also had a hotel transfer of 850 miles. That would throw the theory off.

Cheap hits confirmed (?)

I am 11 for 13 hits, but 2 of the purchases posted Sept 30 whereas the hits posted Sept 29. Assuming these are the 2 missing hits, then I have received hits for all of the following cheap hits:
Audience Rewards trivia (2pts)
Vinesse $9.95 wine book
SuperShuttle $5 no-show
Swap for 1 mile on Points.com
3 toolbar searches

P.S. I scanned a few messages in this thread, but there are so many! Sorry if this is already redundant info.

Nice detective work on the Hilton thing. If you think about it, it makes sense. The 850 number was probably picked by the people who created the promo or who are in partner relations specifically to deal with Hilton. They clearly wanted a number that would be high enough to avoid the one spg point transfers by spg plats. The likely had a number around 1,000 in mind, but then revised it down to 850 to permit Hilton transfers, because a requirement above 850 would require 20k Hilton. In other words the 850 number can't be random. It had to be to accomodate 10k Hilton transfers.

But the IT guys would have little reason to know all this history and probably had no idea of the significant difference between 850 and 851 miles so probably weren't paying much attention when they wrote code requiring greater than instead of greater than or equal to 850.
