Is $899 + tax the lowest you've seen for this route (YVR-ICN)? I'm flying in 6 hours. Have never purchased this before. I'm an Elite 2012 and 35K Altitude in 2013, currently hold a tango fare ticket.
- Does the price come down closer to flight time?
- Can you negotiate a lower price with the check-in agent?
- Do you get full mileage if you pay for the upgrade?

- Of course you CAN try, but it's unlikely to yield a satisfactory outcome. The LMUs are offered only through electronic channels anyway (i.e. online and kiosk check-in) so the check-in agent is not in a position to influence the price.
