Citi card credit line reallocation / reduction [Consolidated]
I had a 40k credit line on my Citi AA Executive card, renewal came up last month, annual fee due this month. Also have a Citi HHonors card with 10k credit line. Called in to request credit line transfer from AA Executive to HHonors card. The rep took some personal info then said it'd take 2 business days to process. The first time, they only moved 10k credit line over to the HHonors card. Called in again and then waited for another two days, still no more movement. Called in to cancel the AA card right before the renewal annual fee due day, the rep said the credit line transfer is still pending. I said that's fine, just cancel the card. The next day when I checked my online profile again, my HHonors card now has a credit line of 50k, and my AA card was successfully closed.
So reallocation of credit line is also possible on Citi cards. Cheers!
