DL used an A330 to carry Notre Dame to/from DUB for the season opener, too. I was impressed they were able to get it in and out of SBN.

Meh. Teams on four-game bowl winning streaks can handle a loss. I'm proud of my Jackets (carried to/from ELP by DL as well, unsurprisingly) for finally breaking the nation's second-longest bowl losing streak (seven games) in pretty impressive fashion. Now if only my current "hometown team" could have taken care of those pesky dwags. In checking flightaware, it appears that UA sent a 744 MCO-LNK with the Huskers (and presumably the band and a gazillion other people) on it yesterday. Wish I'd known that, as I would have headed to the airport to get some shots, and I'm not even a spotter. LNK is a CTT™ (and 50-seat ERJ) hub, with a 757 typically put on for Husker charters. To see the Queen of the Skies at this tiny airport would have been impressive.
