NYT: Perfect 10? Never Mind That. Ask Her for Her Credit Score.
This web site is devoted to various travel hacks, many of which require a high credit score. Therefore, I don't feel that asking a potential romantic interest what his / her credit score is at first meeting is out of line, if it means eliminating people who aren't likely to favor my way of life, and I would almost be offended if I wasn't asked about my credit score. Followers of Dave Ramsey may strongly disagree, citing the multimillionaire who has a FICO score of zero because s/he operates on a cash basis whenever possible; these people are also free to use DR's criteria for selecting a partner.
That said, I'm not impressed with the online dating sites who employ this method (or online dating sites in general). You'd be better off downloading the free Credit Karma app that monitors your credit rating, so you can show your score in a face to face meeting. Bonus for the ladies: if some creep asks you for your number, give him your FICO score instead, and ask for his, then laugh as he slithers away in silence.
