Av. Giorgio Washington is indeed a nice neighborhood (I have a client nearby and I'm there quite regularly), but it's a bit far from the center and even a Metro station.
I originally ruled out the Milan Marriott Hotel due to it's distance from the city center, metro, and train stations (as sighted by
ckendall). After
JMN57's post I thought I'd check again I am now reconsidering it again because:
a) No charge for a second person
b) Actual lounge and/or breakfast is included for those with status
c) Milan Marriott rates have come down (while AC's have actually increased)
d) The AC Milan really isn't that close to the Central Train station (Stazione di Milano Centrale) [It is close to the Garibaldi Train Station, but we won't be needing that one]
NOTE: Based on
BKKLEE's comments in the
Milan Marriott thread if I go that way I'll make sure to bring google maps printout for the taxi
