Never personally travelled to BLQ ... but have flown to and from FRA, MUC, SZG and VIE in CE a fair bit.
a) If they sell loads of CE seats surely the divider will move back (i.e. Club will expand)? You worried about being put in Y? Unlikely.
b) I'd have thought the chances of you being separated are pretty low. Not worth paying to reserve.
