Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Std room, got 1 King BR Suite on Concierge level with view.

How are the rooms?
Nice. It's odd a bit though, hotel has a more historic feel but on the outside looks modern. Common area's feel like more something you'd find at the IC Mag Mile in Chicago or Williard in DC, but the rooms are more updated. Suite was spacious and comfortable. Loved the bed and bathroom, plenty of space and room was probably the best part of the stay.

How is the exec. lounge?
Not bad. A bit on the small side and offerings in the PM were rather paltry. It can get a bit crowded here in the PM's, but it was nice and useful the few times I visited. Did not have breakfast here, mostly due to timing.

What was your welcome gift?
Welcome letter, plate of fruit, cheese, and chocolates.

Did you receive fruit in the room?
Part of welcome gift, small.

What was good and what was bad?
Good
Friendly staff. Comfy room, super comfy bed. Still have access to lounge.

Bad
Only had minor issues with the staff, though they were very friendly. The nite shift was a bit overwhelmed and under-experienced. I had an issue with the internet, was given a bunch of excuses. Early AM call to FD to ask for valet was not followed through on. Also, location (good for on the mall, not so great for proximity to the DT area).
