I suspect you could call and "opt out". But I also suspect it's an "all or nothing" opt out which means you would also lose the reservation reminders as well as the emailed receipts after turn-in.
See, I don't receive any receipts after I return, which would actually be very useful. I just get the "your car is waiting" emails on the day of rental and the "your car is due back" emails.
