My impression is that many tailors will do a good job on shirts and even mid-range suits when given a reasonable turnaround time (say 3-4 days). I certainly saw some fine samples at several tailors near the Sheraton. The issue starts when doing high-end at triple the cost, and consequently higher expectations, or compressing the time.
