In summary, the Virign product, I think, is better (though be careful on seat selection, being near the bar is a problem if you want to sleep). I find the bed more comfortable and the food beats BA IMHO. Cabin service is equally variable on both. Ground service at LHR is better on Virgin.
Where BA beat Virgin is route network, convience and FF scheme. That's it really.
