I assume, because you didn't say when/where you were flying to/from and in what cabin, you are flying from LGW/MAN in PE between now and November in which case the answer is you will be able to REQUEST seats when on line check-in opens 24 hours before scheduled departure time. This is due to the plane refits and VS not knowing if a refitted or not plane will operate a particular flight until very close to departure.
