What
JDiver said. No FA is responsible for the behavior of or has any authority over any other FA. In the event of a lazy, miscreant, abusive, even drunk FA (which happened LHR-BOS with me once), the FAs on board can do nothing other than report the incident up through channels on landing; although the captain can take certain actions if s/he feels that pax safety may be endangered (see below).
In the case of the drunk FA, captain booted her off the plane, and she traveled as a pax on the next LHR-BOS flight, where she was met on arrival not by a supervisor, not by anyone in authority at AA, not by an FAA/DOT rep to investigate, but rather by her APFA rep who was there to ensure that her rights were protected. 'Nuff said.
