Glad to hear that there's a little more wiggle room with dimensions than I'd thought!
Do these fit under the seats of regional jets, though? My 17"L bag leaves me with a barely adequate amount of leg room when placed under the seat on an ERJ-145, and I'm not a super tall person. I've made tight connections and boarded when overhead bins were full, and gate-checking my bag is not an option.
