No problem, I was just thinking the Rockies may be more impressive in summer than Whistler, but it´s certainly not a bad place. I´d definitely choose Whistler over Calgary/Edmonton.

Adding Victoria / concentrating on the West Coast may not be a bad idea, or as suggested above take a plane from YVR to YYC/YEG to save time.
