Most of the time it is 14k-40k points each way for these rewards so the point valuation is kind of Also IAD-LGB is a popular route for B6 out of the east and the lowest I've found is 11.8k each way, so basically your bonus points only covered 1 west coast trip. Chances are even on a weekday you'll only get that low point cost one way and your return may be 2x as much. Basically look at this as a chance to get 1 trip that is reasonable to Bermuda, PR, or DR.
