On the chance that the OP needs tier points, I'd recommend routing LAX-MIA-JFK, with LAX-MIA on a 763. Alternatively, LAX-SFO-JFK with SFO-JFK on a 763. Either route would be the best seating option for a First Class (two class) transcon.
