2011 Credentials
Sounds like Diamond Medallion members have started to receive their 2011 Medallion credentials packages. We hope you enjoy the new credentials (and all your DM benefits), but also want to clarify some of the credentials details.
In particular, there are questions regarding the line that reads, “50% MQM bonus on every flight keeps you on track for Diamond Medallion status next year.” This MQM bonus is still only applicable for First/Business Class fares (P, F, A, C, D, J, I, S) and Premium Economy fares (Y, B, and M). This is highlighted at delta.com/medallion, which is referenced at the bottom of the text within the Diamond Medallion packages.
Also, to answer your questions related to Unlimited Complimentary Upgrades, this benefit is available on Delta and certain Delta-designated codeshare flights in North America within or between the United States (excluding Hawaii) and Bermuda, Canada, Central and South America (excluding flights that are serviced with our BusinessElite® product), the Caribbean and Mexico.
There have been no changes to the 50% MQM class of service bonus policy and we remain the only domestic carrier that offers an MQM and mileage bonus for the top three coach fares. Additionally no changes have been made to the eligible travel areas for Unlimited Complimentary Upgrades.
Our attempt was to capture the key Diamond Medallion benefits at a high level and direct to delta.com/medallion for more details. Additionally, we refer to delta.com/memberguide in the Terms & Conditions. If you would like more MQM details, you can also visit the Medallion Qualification Calculation page or the Earn Miles with Delta page.
We’re sorry for the confusion but look forward to serving all our Medallion members in 2011.
