Yes, SQ is very keen to protect its premium cabins, especially 77W/A388/A345.@:-)

I was told that if A388 is oversold in C, they will offer S$2000+future upgrade to downgrade someone to Y, before upgrading anyone to R. To SQ management, that's the price to pay to protect premium cabins.
