some "new" info on mlife

I just returned from las vegas and after reading the various booklets and speaking to "mlife" agents:
To reach Platinum (their highest "listed" level) you need 200,000 mlife points. Sapphire and Pearl (the two lowest levels), get one point for every $2 played on a non-poker slot; gold members get one point for every $1.75 and plats 1 point for every $1.50. Your mlife points = 10 x your (regular) points. [So you need 20,000 points to get to platinum level--why they couldn't just use 20,000 points instead of the multiplier by 10 is not clear] So to retain platinum status (if you are already platinum) if you play $30,000 in a year (@$1.50 per point) you will reach 20,000 points.
Express Comps: (similar to Harrahs rewards credits), for each 1 point earned you get $0.02 in express comps, which can be used to pay for most hotel amenities (except tips). [A platinum member would get to use at least 20,000 x 0.02 = $400 of these in a year.]
Harrahs requires 11,000 base points (1 point = $5 played), hence a minimum of $55,000/year to retain diamond status. Accumulating rewards (comp) credits varies by locale, in las vegas, generally (once you get over 500 base tier credits in a day) the tier credits are multiplied by 4. In Atlantic City the multiplier seems to be around 1.5--but almost every day is a multiplier day somewhere varying from 3x to as much as 150x.
There are supposed to be special lines at the buffets for gold and plats in mlife, at Bellagio, the line at the buffet is still marked "invited" guests, when I used that line with only my mlife plat card (since there were no waiting lines at when I got there) I couldn't tell if they were honoring my card.
There are NO special lines at the casino cages, players club (mlife) for plats and NO platinum lounges--so Harrahs is one up on them for these perks.
[My offers in the mgm group have generally included free food credit, some of them still do but others may now be expecting me to use my Express Comps.]
They claim you can book offers directly at the mlife.com site, but I couldn't get that to work.
