WN Clarification Email
WN just sent out the following clarification email:
We realize that with the interest surrounding the announcement of our All-New Rapid Rewards program, there are a few questions about your special recognition status that we would like to address.
In addition to the transition plans outlined in our announcement e-mail and on newrapidrewards.com, we also will be simultaneously calculating a rolling 12-month qualification for A-List and Companion Pass status in 2011. Simply put, that means that all Members will have two ways to earn or retain status in 2011.
The two ways to earn status in 2011 are:
A-List
•Earn A-List within a rolling 12 months by flying 32 one-way flights. Qualification under this method must occur prior to 12/31/11.
•Earn A-List within the calendar year by flying 25 qualifying flights or earning 35,000 Tier Qualifying Points between 1/1/11 – 12/31/11.
Companion Pass
•Earn Companion Pass within a rolling 12 months by earning 100 credits from Partners or flights. Qualification under this method must occur prior to 12/31/11.
•Credits for flights flown prior to the launch of the All-New Rapid Rewards on March 1, 2011, will be calculated just as they are in today’s program. Credit from each one-way flight flown after the launch of the All-New Rapid Rewards also will be tracked for Companion Pass qualification.
•Partner credits earned prior to the launch of the All-New Rapid Rewards will be calculated just as they are in today’s program. Credit from Partner transactions after the launch of the All-New Rapid Rewards also will be tracked, but will be assessed by dividing the total number of Rapid Rewards Points earned through Partners by 1,200.
•Earn Companion Pass within the calendar year by flying 100 one-way flights or earning 110,000 Companion Pass Qualifying Points between 1/1/11 – 12/31/11.
Once a Member qualifies for A-List or Companion Pass through either method, he or she will retain this status through the end of 2012. For clarification, after December 31, 2011, rolling 12-month qualification periods for A-List status or Companion Pass will no longer apply.
Please rest assured that we are making every reasonable effort to ensure that our valued Members have an equitable transition to the All-New Rapid Rewards program, including A-List and Companion Pass status.
