So far, I've gotten excellent responsiveness from pretty much everyone via their media contact phone numbers.

As I said, they clearly have communication issues with people on the ground and to a lesser degree between themselves (viz. above the difference in Fotenos' and Davis' interpretations of what's permissible "at" the checkpoint). But as to reachability by phone, once you know the media contact info, it's very good.
