Please keep in mind that May is peak season (dry season) in DRW and as such it does attract high levels of hotel needing guests, which take the average room rate in the wet at the CP from $100-150 a night up to $350 a night. So while we are bringing some good business and the attendees are well known for being high influencers of corporate travel spend, there will be competition in town, here is a snapshot of events at the convention centre:

In terms of the lounge, as mentioned there is no lounge at any hotel in DRW, however ozbeachbabe is looking at creating one, if the suite at the CP does not make sense then we also have the Esplanade Suite at the HI available which has a large balcony with Spa (when was the last time you had a lounge spa party - LOL), where we may be able to organise a breakfast and or drinks as well as free internet. This will have to be paid for somehow by someone so I am sure details will be forthcoming should it become reality, its certainly being worked on.
In the meantime I would encourage you all to consider the accommodation ASAP given the possible high demand for rooms thanks to all those doctors, keep in mind the Novotel now has a construction site beside it and there are three ICHG properties for those looking to crack their case of bonus points by the end of May, the group rate being organised will help with a lot of those issues.
