Guided City Tour Walk

On Tortuous Paths through the Old City

Vienna at its best: the multicultural tradition of the city. In a humorous way you will be informed about the roots and the mentality of the Viennese. Old Vienna is revived - a city populated by musicians, students, Jews and monks, victorious against the sieges of the Turks and surviving the menaces of the plague. Although you might think to have covered quite a distance on your walk you will find yourself almost at the same spot where you started - the paths are tortuous. Just like on a string of pearls you will discover the most attractive picture postcard sights along your way. Hear about the manifold denominations in our city which live and practice peacefully in close vicinity to each other. The tour will make you acquainted not only with the historical development of one of the most glorious cities of the past, but also with the charm of this mixture of a population which has preserved its 'Gemuetlichkeit' up to the present day.

Starts at: 10:00 am at Hoher Markt Mitte, Denkmalbrunnen.
Meeting time: 9:30 am
Meeting point: at the main entrance St. Stephan's Cathedral (Stephansplatz – City).

How to get there ?
Take the subway U1 or U3 to Stephansplatz.

You can decide about the meeting place. You can walk direct to Hoher Markt and be there at 10 am or join the "Angel-Service" at 9:30 am at the Stephansplatz and we will walk together to the start of the tour.

Guided Tour Palace Schönbrunn

Frivolous stories of the Imperial dynasty.

The Habsburg dynasty - on the one hand focus of admiration and most noteworthy attention, on the other without a substantial mission fenced into a golden cage with hardly any personal liberties. Still, even the Habsburgs were men and women with quite ordinary demands and desires. There were but few who were able to fulfill their pretensions. In general they were not permitted to follow their hearts but to yield to what the head of the family expected them to do. Even the Emperor and the Empress had to submit to the laws of the house.

You will walk through all rooms, which you will not see on other tours, to find out more of the life from Maria Theresia ("Sissi"), who was not only a princess, also a human, a wife and a mother.

Starts at: 2:00 pm at the Palace Schönbrunn – big stairs in front of the building.
Meeting time: 1:30 am
Meeting point: at the Opera (opposite of the Café Sacher)

How to get there ?

Meeeting point at 1:30 am at the Opera – in front of the Hotel Sacher Vienna.

We will take the U4 to Wien Schönbrunn and after a short walk we are at the Palace. If you don't need the "Angel-Service", we will meet at 2:00 pm at the big stairs in front of the Palace. It is very important that you are there on time because we have a special timeslot for entering the castle.

Dinner – 10er Marie

Starts at: 7:00 pm
Meeting point: Ottakringer Strasse 222-224, 1160 Wien

Our delicious buffet offers delicate homemade dishes with specialities such as the ham pasta or vegetable gratins. The noble wines come from our own production, the Winery Furhgassl-Huber!

We will get a typical local Viennese Buffet. Drinks are not included and have to be paid by your own. Bring your dancing shows with you for a waltz dancing lesson.

How to reach the event ?

Brunch at the Donauturm

Starts at: 11:00 am
Ends at: 2:00 pm – afterwards Andreas (szg) will jump from the Tower !!!
Meeting point: Donauturmstrasse 4, 1220 Wien

How to reach the event ?

It's not easy to use the public transportation to the Donauturm, because you have to walk about 1 km from the U6 Station – Neue Donau or the U1 Station – Kagran.

The best is to take a cab from the subway station to the Donauturm.
