As a regular on this route for over 3.5 years now, I can advise from experience that, no, you should never go on the 18.30 flight (CX250)! Same goes for the 23:55 departure from HKG (CX251).

The LHR based crew are awful. All three other flights serviced by the HKG based crew are fine.

If you like daytime flights, go for CX252 from LHR and CX253 from HKG. My preferred departures are CX252 and CX255 as I have found that I could better manage jetlag on these flights.

If anyone's interested, I have listed below the aircraft rotations:

CX251/CX250 (74A)
CX255/CX252 (74A)
CX257/CX256 (74A/34B, to go 77A daily from May)
CX253/CX254 (74A)

74A = 747-400 (3-class)
77A = 777-300ER (3-class)
34B = 340-300 (2-class)

Before anyone asks, all aircraft have the new long haul products.
