TB hasn't made any decision yet, as far as I can tell...

I wouldn't say the decision has been made. This proposal is still in the proposal stage.

It's just at this point not a single TBer sees enough supporting evidence to make a motion on this proposal in the private Talkboard Forum , nor another TBer to second the-yet-to-be made motion. The way I understand how TB works for any proposal on FT is the advocates have to bring at least two TBers to support the idea. Without two TBers on board, no ball gets rolling.

I would suggest those FTers who want this Aeroflot proposal go any further to dig up the recent TB threads about Accor A-Club Forum and see how fellow FTers took about 6 months to successfully build the case and sold it to more than 2 TBers. As a matter of fact, all 9 TBers ended up fully supporting creation of Accor A-Club Forum.

It wouldn't hurt for supporting FTers to look into other motions that were made (i.e. with 2 TBers' "endorsement") but failed to pass, so you would get the idea of less strong motions. Two TBers are not enough for any motion to pass.

Don't forget to compare notes with other proposals that remain still, without even making it to the motion stage. Proposals with arguments like "I like this idea/forum" without supporting FT traffic or facts were the weakest, as far as TBers are concerned.

I don't know Aeroflot enough to say if Aeroflot-supporting FTers have strong selling points. All I know is based on the preliminary search I did in post #12, I didn't see much FT traffic on this subject. but I also see another Aeroflot frequent's less favorable comment in a different forum (CommunityBuzz! Forum):

starting from 2001 I was a gold/silver(depending of how was the year) Aeroflot Bonus card holder, until the moment this autumn when the Aeroflot's timing became even more horrible than their regular horrible, and in addition to that they changed their mileage program, so I barely got a Silver this year.
I am not saying things won't change. If Aeroflot advocating FTers want to be "good salesmen", you have to find your selling points to TBers. Knowing your TBers better may help. Studying about what ideas don't fly on TB and FT is a must. Oh, yes, do do your homework about this TB sticky.

Good luck!
