I'm not quite as negative but....
...it is what it is...the location in keahou bay (spelling?) is a little isolated, and the restaurant choices are pretty limited, its about 15-20 min drive to get a better selection.
Hotel needs an update. Nice pool though. NO BEACH...all rock.
But the one big + are the manta rays that feed outside the hotel bar everynight...big lights shine in the water to stir up plankton and these big beasties come to feed on them...very cool.
But over all i'd stay elsewhere and come visit one evening.
I've seen rates as low as $129/night and for hawaii thats not bad...but overall not what you would call a thrilling property.
