The next DC Happy Hour and Dinner will be on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Belga Cafe near Barracks Row in Southeast DC. Happy Hour will begin around 5:30 pm, with dinner to follow at 6:00 pm.

Going Away plans to spend some time at the Eastern Market Arts & Crafts and Flea Markets, which will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (the regular merchants in the South Hall are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, and the Farmers Market closes at 4:00 pm), and would welcome company if others are interested. Eastern Market is located at 7th Street and North Carolina Avenue, SE.

Be aware that parking is likely to be at a premium, so do consider using Metro to the Eastern Market Station on the Blue and Orange lines. Eastern Market is 1.5 blocks north of the eponymous Metro station, and Barracks Row is about 2 blocks south of the station.

We currently have a reservation for a party of 15. If the number expands, I'll try to increase the reservation (but won't until closer to the 22d to see what kind of attrition we have).
