The fare is about a $100 cheaper from JFK, plus the flight from JFK arrives hour and a half earlier which would be a plus. That should be enough even for a taxi, right, so I could make my call based on when I get through immigration and then decide between train and a taxi, and either way still be about the same price or even cheaper.

I don't know if there is any reason to assume any difference in probability of getting bumbed to first between the two options?

I'm coming in with MH, so yes the NYC-MCI whichever airport I use will be on a separate ticket. (That's why I'm asking, I know they'd have to reaccomondate if it was because of their own late arrival.)
