From a conversation with AA today:

Challenges starting 6/15 or later are now $100 (Gold) or $200 (Plat).

They still insist when I spoke to them that the segment that puts you over the threshold does NOT give you the elite bonus miles (25% or 100%). Has anyone had it post automatically, or have you had to submit a request? Was it honored?
