So I can't definitively address the question of whether or not they are looking back before 12/19, or if we were disqualified due to our daughter's redemption. Knowing that she had 2500 mile redemptions prior to 12/19 as well, I will guess that it was her new award that caused our redemptions to be rejected. In either case, it looks like the restrictions are now in place and being enforced. BTW, the tickets were returned to our accounts.
This case sounded to me like they looked at the number of redemptions thoughout the history of the account. If they saw prior redemptions for 2500 miles, no matter when they occured, they rejected subsequent ones when they started enforcing it.

I am thinking of changing the street address on mine and hubby's AA accounts until the Jan miles either post or reject to be on the safe side. We have separate LSC accounts.

The IP monitoring is doable but has too many variables. We are presumably "frequent flyers" so could be logging on from home, work, hotel, internet cafe, Starbucks, library or even IPhones.

The other thing to consider is how badly do they want to enforce this. If they start hiring humans to monitor this, they have to pay wages and benefits so are there REALLY that many die-hard frequent flyers trying to churn miles? These games are boring and basically nothing more than a data entry part-time job for most of us. If my postings come through, I was going to quit first week Feb because I will have enough miles to get the economy tickets I want. I may redo the US ones that fell into the Christmas week black hole but that's it.

I think there is something electronic being done. The average data entry clerk could care less about "catching us", they just punch the numbers and move on.
