I think it might be something as simple as AI for some reason is taking longer to process AA redemptions than the other airlines since it seems others (as well as me) are getting redemptions from other airlines.

As far as the people that are getting emails from LSC notifying them of a duplicate order and then returning the points, the question would be why isn't everyone getting those emails? I've had a few redemptions I requested for AA on or before some of the dates previously mentioned in the people that got those emails. As far as IP addresses, I have a DSL modem and have always made sure to turn my modem off for a few minutes and then back on to generate a new IP address before logging onto a different LSC account. Have no idea if that helped.

Again, this seems to be mainly an AA issue? And so the world turns....
