The funny thing is, when you actually fly C -- as opposed to looking at the cabin -- it feels very private, a lot more than the old C. The seats are low enough/dividers high enough so that you don't see the people "across" from you. YMMV, but really, the the fact that pairs of seats face each other doesn't make things seem less private. Nor, for that matter, have I felt "stared at" by the person across the aisle from me.
