The seats are low enough/dividers high enough so that you don't see the people "across" from you. YMMV, but really, the the fact that pairs of seats face each other doesn't make things seem less private. Nor, for that matter, have I felt "stared at" by the person across the aisle from me.
I agree. I felt the new seats were much more private than the last generation seats.
