I've opened (and closed) many of these cards over the last couple of years. Miles always post to my account within 3 days of the statement closing date if you've made the $750 spend. Even before that, you can log on to the citicard site the day after the statement closes and see a pdf of your statement which will show the miles awarded. I usually pay the card off on before the statement closing date, wait the 2 or 3 days for the miles to post to my account, and close the card. Never had any miles revoked from either Citi AA personal or business accounts.
