Here's another twist.
Lately I've been emptying my account and redeeming for 3500 (2500/1000)miles each day. I was hoping that I could sneak a few through before the LSC iron fist came down and redemptions were limited to one each. The "January 1st effect" if you will.
When I redeemed tonight, I got a the message "Points cannot be credited. Please contact [email protected]". When I redeemed for 500 miles (something I haven't done yet), it went through. Even though the "redeem" button is there, it looks like the limitations are in effect.
I just hope all mine redemptions this last week come thought. If not, I hope to hell they return the tickets to my account.
Don't write too much into this. LSC->AI interfaces randomly fail, with the usual fix being... wait 5 minutes, and try again. Did you try redeeming again, for that LSC/FFP/miles combo?
The logical place to put redemption limits is the start of the redemptions process. LSC already has an "Achieved" status, for awards. So they could use that to conditionally put up an icon, that prevents anyone from even starting the redemption process.
