I was able to book an unpublished ISP-MDW-SJC a couple of years ago on the phone, when it was 5 minutes under the minimum connection time. I pointed out it was only 10 minutes less than the ISP-MDW-OAK they were offering, so they overrode the system. But they noted on the reservation that they were not liable if a checked bag missed the shorter connection at MDW.
